Sucks… cause it was actually a decent repop that took me a lot of effort to get made.

QuietRide offers quite a few firewall panels as I recall but few of them are correct, especially for the 1955-1956 models. Wherever they got their templates, it is obvious that no original blueprints were involved! If you didn't send your original, really not a surprise about the plenum but I was hoping it would be made as I want a couple too.

Received a new package from Restoration Specialties today. I sent the wrong parts back to them along with a sample of the original parts. The photo below shows the part number. I will probably have to order more before I am done so I want the part numbers right here where I can find them.
I have been avoiding installing the locking cord on the rear windshield for a few weeks. I watched several youtube videos and even ordered a special tool for locking cords. Complete waste of money. All I needed was dish soap. Apply it to the cord about a foot at a time and just push the cord in with my hands. I stopped halfway around but it only took me about 10 minutes. It was a little tight in a few places and I had to use something to open it up a little but it was nowhere near as hard as I made it out to be. I should have it done tomororow.

Dang, I don't post for a week and BigKev gets a new Packard. You can miss a lot in a week.
I am sitting here on the couch, this day after Thanksgiving, thinking about how thankful I am and enjoying a celebratory rum drink because I got that dadgum front windshield in place today. While it was painful, I did it all by myself and it only took 70 minutes to get it done. The most important tool was dish soap, as others have suggested here. Non-diluted Dawn soap and I put it anyplace glass and rubber would meet. I used a cheap hog's hair bush to put it into the bottom of the seal. Once I had to lower portion done I brushed it along the side and then the top where I had to pry the seal other the top of the glass. The curves on the top, on each side, were the hardest part. The lower corners will not seat entirely until the whole thing is within the seal. It also took some open-handed pounding on both sides to make it seat properly. At least that is how it worked for me. I have to tell you, it feels really good to have that job done. Also in the past week, I got some of the rear stainless on the rear windshield. IT is looking good. I have some parts coming in next week from Packard Southwest and will let me get that trim done. I got my check from Quirtride for the full refund on the heater plenum that they can't reproduce. The next major project will be installing the dash board.

It's look good. I put my own windshield and rear wind in. Not a fun job, and a testimonial to patience.

Not done yet on F factor.
Will the gasket lock? The bottom on corner. I had to stretch press up to lock it.

The gasket is locked except for the driver's side, lower corner. It fought me and then I realized that my hands were exhausted from everything else so I just quit until tomorrow. I'll let you know how that goes.

Nice job on the glass install. I don't enjoy that. Car is coming together!

I am cleaning up the stainless steel, reynolds wrap for the doors. The back side has some rust and I am concerned that, if left un-treaded, it will bleed down the side when wet.
What do you folks suggest? Can I prime the backside or is there something else?
