Hi BDC

In the case of this '32 901 sedan, the saying a neighbor's father used to remind his wife applies: "Powder 'n paint make ya what ya ain't". It's just a regular 901, Body No. 503 sedan that has been 'formalized' to confer on it a more 'elegance' look with blanked-in quarter windows, padded vinyl top covering and landau bars. The telltale it didn't come from the factory that way are the sharp, right-angle corners on the upper door frame and lower top quarter where the C-pillar meets the belt-molding. When building the true formal sedan, Packard always rounded and filleted those features for a properly-designed appearance, just as they did for the club sedan which usually shared components with it.

A few more in your state, in far less nice condition but worthy of project or parts to save others:

A '36 120 sedan, dual sidemount front fenders:

A rare'41 110 two door sedan project, looks solid:

A '48 Eight Deluxe two door, project/parts:

A '53 Clipper Deluxe sedan, starter project:

Regarding the 32 901, assuming that what we see now was there in 1997 it's hard to conceive that the car won an AACA National First, what with the nonauthentic body and interior work, leather spring gaiters, modern ignition wires, and a host of other details. And the restoration surely has not stood the test of time.

The seller identifies this as a '41 Clipper but the grille and interior say that it's a '46 or '47:

Another Clipper, this one's a '47:

You are correct, this is a 46 or 47, not a '41. All 41's were on the longer 127" wb and thus had the longer fenders with the additional length behind the front wheel. In 42-47 only the 356" equipped senior models had the longer fenders, Six and small 8 282" had the shorter wb and fenders.

Rocker outer panels are still there, may be a low rust Texas car well worth $1

It is a 6-cylinder and there were no sixes in 1941, only eights. There were Sixes in 1942, but this is not one. It is a 21st series Clipper.

Hi

A variety of years, models, conditions and prices:

If a project isn't your thing, this gorgeous '37 Super Eight 1501 with partition and jump seats is for you, price seems very reasonable for such a nice Packard:
columbus.craigslist.org/cto/5092307599.html

For a postwar example, this '53 Cavalier might fit the bill, black, green leather and cloth interior, more photos available, non-stock vinyl roof covering:
boston.craigslist.org/nwb/cto/5095421166.html

Now, onto the projects:
A rough '50 Super Deluxe Eight, looks to be a parts car:
knoxville.craigslist.org/cto/5091921934.html

Two '54 Clipper sedans:
boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/5094474095.html
This one, Manual shift, rusty, may be parts car:
richmond.craigslist.org/cto/5089939532.html

An early '55 Clipper sedan, could be better than it looks, cheaply priced:
