Re: 47 Custom Super Clipper
Thank you for clarifying an unclear area. I was aware of the front to back ribs in the headliner, but there were no pix ok that in the interior.

A couple of things visible in the interior photos unique to Customs is the chrome windshield finish rim and the chrome steering column shroud.

Someone will correct if wrong but I believe but won't swear to it the courtesy lights on back of front seat were another seniors only item but that would include the Super as well so not a unique Custom identifier.

A nice 1930 coupe, but the restorer took a few liberties to change some details I think.

Well and here's the 1930 Al capone packard again. (Why would a dealer even add that on the factory plate? I think it's as fake as an unicorn! )

A 1940 Darrin. I don't know enough about the Darrins to tell if it's a fake but the factory plate is a reproduction, and the front seats don't look period correct, they also look uncomfortably low:

It appears there are no "cats whiskers" on the left front fender, as all Customs had when built, how can we verify that it is a Custom Super?

Based on the oil filler breather tube, and the radiator coolant neck, it appears to have a 356 engine, that would be the best way.

In addition to having the 356, the 1947 has the Super Custom upholstery -- refer to the 1946 Data Book, which is available in the Literature and Manuals section.

It also has the Electromatic Clutch, I don't know if it was available on all eights, but definitely on the 356.

My first thought when I saw the car was, I wonder how many clowns it could hold?
