Started working on adding the optional sway bar to front. This was ab option that could be added to a 37, but was not standard production.
So this swaybar came from Gerry and is off a later model. I stripped and painted everything Per the service letter, it involves removing the jack pads from the front of the trailing arms and installing the sway link brackets in there place. Here you can see the difference in the two parts The end link bushings were past there prime, so I found some modern replacements at Napa to replace them with The swaybar bushings themselves were shot a d being from a later model the bracket holes didn't match the existing hole spacing in the frame. Napa didn't have anything that would work, so I ordered new brackets and bushings from Energy Suspension. So once those arrive, I will complete the install. This will help enable the high speed turns my wife is seaking.

Also the 115-C running board mats from Metro that I ordered in March finally arrived. So once I can inspect them, then I can sell off the new 120-C mats from Metro that were in the rubber hoard I had.

I will be curious to know what difference you notice in the ride and handling once the sway bar has been installed!

Here is the info from TL-1980 on the front stabilizer (sway bar):
This shows the 1937 style bar. The one I have is off a later 120, perhaps a 1939. The endlink style is different and it may be a thicker bar. The bar on this one is 9/16" diameter.

The new 115-C running board mats look really good.
And appear to fit very good as well. They left a little extra at the rear so they could be trimmed to fit exactly. Which is the covered by the piece that goes up against the rear fender. Just for reference, here is the difference between a 115-c and 120-c running board mat. The 120-c is longer and also wider at the front. Because of the body work I plan on doing this winter, I wait until that is nearly complete before installing these as I don't want to get these soiled or scuffed up. I'll be listing the 120-c mats for sell.

Luckily that connection is still good. If it goes bad, I'd have try to use some liquid urethane stuff that you can use to make your own bushings and pour that into that socket to replace it.

The E.G.B. Performance package installed and it completely has changed how the can handles. It stays very flat in the turns now.
This is with a 39 or 40 stabilizer (sway) bar and modern polyurethane bushings (sway bar and endlinks). Adding this later sway bar to the '37 requires new bar bushings as the 39/40 brackets will not match up to the frame holes. The universal 9/16" bushings/brackets from Energy Suspension have elongated mounting holes and fit perfectly as the 37 frame holes are spaced closer together that the 39/40 holes are. Also these bushings are split so they can be installed over the bar as the endlinks the these bars are not removable. Wife took it for some road testing including some higher than normal speed turns. It's wonderful now and it no longer feels like it going to flip over in a turn.

My wife said she didn't like to drive the car at night as you couldn't really see the guages as they were so dim.
So, three LED bulbs to the rescue. The speedo uses two bulbs for illumination, and the center cluster only uses one. The speedo shows the biggest difference. The trick was to get LED bulbs that have a 360 light spread as the gauges are really illuminated by the sides of the bulbs as opposed to the end of the bulbs. So these are the style of bulbs I used. They are a BA9(S) bulb base. Only one that didn't fit was the bottom speedo one as the internal bulb shield is very shallow on that one. So I had to use a slightly different one there. But the results speak for themselves. Really a day and night difference.
