Hi

Here's the match for that nice green '49 Eight 22nd Series four door in KC, a tad higher priced but a two door 23rd Series with nicer interior:
http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/cto/5401142632.html

Given what good examples can be bought for, its a wonder anyone takes on 22nd-23rd Series Eights as a major restoration project.

Just up a few years, here's a partially completed restoration project '54 Clipper Panama, nice red paint and interior, list rebuilt engine and transmission:
http://springfield.craigslist.org/cto/5388470259.html

Finally, a handsome '37 120 sedan with sidemounts, somewhat inauthentic restoration, pricey:
http://bgky.craigslist.org/cto/5396626104.html

Steve

Edit: revised '37 120 restoration description from ' very nice' to 'somewhat inauthentic".

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

I don't know why this nice 1940 hasn't found a home yet. It's priced very reasonable.

That '37 claims a numbers matching V8! I don't even know of any numbers to match up on the straight 8! Also, is that cylinder above the horns some weird air cleaner?

Ken, the car appears to be fitted with a later type oil bath air cleaner that crosses over the top of the engine. Is this a 138CD? Looks too long for a 120 Touring Sedan. Nice looking Packard.

Nice looking but unrealistic on the price. You can buy a nice senior packard for that kind of $$. It's a 1092, not a 138CD
