Thought this '53 would be a good start for someone who wants a 2 door.

I've seen the '54 in San Luis Obispo, its a Fred Flintstone if anyone cares. I know it starts and drives well. Seller is very nice but the car does need some work.

Estimate according to Blackman is 183 produced which now needs to be revised a bit. Remember numbering for seniors in 1935 began at 201.

Gosh, it hurts so much to see such a rare car mongrelized.

I agree, but it looks like if a person had a parts car, it would be relatively simple to convert it back. The work done looks very nice, except for the steering wheel. The cost to do the conversion would be considerable, however, especially with such a steep price on the hot rod.

Come to think of it: I have a 35 eight front end and a dash to fix that 35 convertible if someone wants to tackle that project.

Not too bad. Wonder if that little round knob to the right of column is the rear wiper switch. It also appears to have a tach -- or at least some kind of gauge -- on the left of dash. That plus some engine non stocks, I would wonder if the car might have had more than its share of action.

Thanks. Obviously didn't read down far enough. Still makes me wonder why the need and so prominently visible too.
