No snow for the last few weeks. A major warm-up and rain last week melted everything off. We had a dry day, so that was when I drove the Packard from the old house to the new house (15 miles). Even in the dead of winter, she still started up, albeit with a little extra cranking needed.

Not much car work done as of late. Still unpacking the house and taking have of needed projects. We got some of that "Bomb Cyclone" action yesterday and went from 72f a few days ago to 6" of snow yesterday. Supposed to be back in the upper 60' by mid-week to hopefully melt everything off.

A few pics of one of my inside projects. Our basement was already finished and split lengthwise into an office/workout area and a TV media room. These pics are of the office/workout area. Which decided to split into two rooms as each already had its own door to the other room and its own lights. So it was probably supposed to be two rooms originally and the previous owners never finished it.

In a nutshell, we built a wall between the office area and the workout room which is now going to be a storeroom and my wife's craft area. Then used inexpensive IKEA bookcases which were place area a faux fireplace with a 2x4 support structure. Then everything was trimmed with pre-primed pine trim boards and painted.

Eventually there will be wainscoting on the rest of the walls and vinyl plank wood floors to complete my office/library look. Working from home as I do, I wanted a nice finished space.

Kev, your new wall with its shelves and "fireplace" are similar to my office in our new home in Santa Fe. We bought the house from a retired university history professor and he used the shelves for his extensive library. I spent most of March unpacking my 300+ model collection of vehicles and airplanes and placing it on the shelves. Now, they are out for all to enjoy. No photos yet, but I will post some. We have spent the first six months getting the inside of the house unpacked and furnished; plus, some minor repairs and improvements. We are looking forward to warmer weather so as to do some yard work. I agree, it is nice to have a comfortable and nice office space.

BK; Its more fun to work on the packard. A friend of mine just gave me a box of factory paper work, I have not gone through it all but lots of material. I did see several price lists and dealer training material. Would this material be useful for the web sight. I plan to go through it all and make up an inventory. Please let me know if interested Dell

Not, much has been happening on the Packard front. Still working through a big "Honey-Do" list on this new house. Also, I am flying to Calif every two weeks for business. So, that delays everything even more. Would have liked to have had the Packard out for a drive, but it hasn't stopped raining here since March long enough for the roads to even dry out. Wettest May on record here in Chicagoland.
