Yeah that's a much better view of the same car I mentioned earlier. Also a GT Hawk, 2 2dr 48-52, and what looks like
a Loewy coupe. Quite an interesting little grove.

A somber warning: in the corner of the rear window is the remains of a PAC sticker. No too long ago this was someone's baby, someone who had the car painted, replaced the front bumper, and even took the trouble to find a period license plate. And now it is just a lost car in a junkyard with no title.

I am not certain what lessons to draw from this, but am sure of this: go and enjoy the living daylights out of your collector cars now. Run up the mileage and drive them as hard or as easy as you personally like. I think we are largely fooling ourselves when we murmur about being a caretaker in preparation for the next caretaker. For most of these cars, there is no one coming.

Both of those last two ebay links (the Clippers) have been on Ebay for well over a year. They were there when I started looking for a Packard in Dec 2012.

Boy that 50 looks nice. Do you think that's the right interior material? I/m not that up to speed on the interior materials

Maybe it's just me but I've never thought all white looks very good on these Packards

The interior materials and exterior color are both inauthentic.

I'm with you on the outside color, these Packard don't look good in white.

1956 clipper hot rod or modified whatever you want to call it

This Clipper is actually pretty decent. It looks to be rather solid & straight. Maybe if you could get the local Tech school to blow some paint on it... Think it's worth 5K?
