Nice 400. And that '53 Clipper has an interesting color. Not bad...

It's hard to tell from a photograph, but there was a stock '53 color that appears very much the same hue. That would be Orchard Green (color scheme 'O'). In '54 there was another 'light green', known as Bellevue Green (color scheme 'N') that had a bit of blue in the formula. The internet photograph doesn't appear to have enough, if any, blue, so I'll go with Orchard Green. Both were paired with Galahad Green (color scheme 'K') for the two toned cars. Of course the color could have been locally mixed to please the owner, and is close, but is not an exact match to the Packard color.

I like the '55 400 too, Kevin. Unless I'm missing something, there is no price listed - realistically, what's it worth??? (ballpark) Chris.

This 1928 Packard Six coupe is about triple overpriced for a project, he will be lucky if anyone offers $4K-$5K for the car.

Well, I paid quadruple for my first project what it was worth, so I'd be improving!

Hope you're right, and there are some decent projects available in a few years. I've really grown fond of the 6th-9th series cars. I love the flowing lines of the non-pontoon fenders, and the shift away from drum headlights is also pretty pleasing.

I'll probably try to find a coupe - I think they look excellent, and you see them less than the rag tops. Something to think about!

Interesting that the 384 only makes 106 hp, a decade later the 245 6 cylinder was making 105hp....

That IS interesting, John. Now that my 245 is 'fresh', I am quite taken by the power it has. In that I had one really bad cylinder that needed 60-thou overbore, I guess I am at a little over 'stock' HP. I don't know what an extra .60 X 6 would do to a 3 1/2" bore cylinder but I am guessing it would add a couple of percent?? Moves the car very well. Chris.
