I thought it could be a good idea to bring the following document into the light of day, which can be found in Dave's (O_D) treasure chest:

Two ladies sitting at rear of first car is E roosevelt on the left side of car and either B truman rite side of car or MAYBE Trumans daughter. I don;t recognize the man directly in front of E Rosselvelt. Appears to be Navy????? I'm not familiar enuf with US Navy of that era to recognoze him. Maybe those of u that served during that time can take a good guess.

Almost, but no cigar. The woman is the wife of England's King George VI, and the picture was taken during the month of June in 1939. I doubt anyone serving in the US military at that time does much commenting on this forum since they would be over 90.

Dave, it is in the nature of Keith to fight for every inch of ground and every single voice that supports PackardInfo.

The man pictured below is purported to have also been unbending - Sir Winston Churchill.
The caption reads: "1946/05/09 - Churchill in Den Haag (The Hague) in a 1937 V12 Packard with Erdmann & Rossi open tourer body." Click to enlarge.

Please correct me if I am wrong but the shape of the headlights looks unusual.

There are some letters to the editor, offering interesting information about this car, in the latest issue of the CCCA's Bulletin. It survived WW-II and is thought to be somewhere in Connecticut. The Dutch government is laying claim to it.

Yes, the buckets for the headlights are unusual in the front AND rear. European sealed beams may have been smaller, but the rear of the buckets themselves seem different.

John (JW), thanks. AACA.com has been one step ahead. A reader's letter recorded the car history.

Randy, in terms of the rear ends we are probably confused by the shadow play of the flagstaff (picture attached).
