Might be a '42, but it has been fitted with '41 front end body parts.

this is the third Packard that this guy has sold on ebay in as many weeks.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271609142892?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

He does not know Packards. but appears to be selling off an estate he got for cheap. i tried to contact him concerning his 'ZERO' feedback score cause i wanted the 2 door that just went for 520 usd. he replied with really nasty letter.
the guy is a prick if you ask me. and no assurances we given to legitimize his position..

would you paypal five hundred dollars to a zero feedback seller? i would not. i dont know of anybody who has not had a bad ebay experience. most are good but it is still risky business sending money.

Rusty:

I have been buying and selling wristwatches on eBay since 1999. I have had a couple of bad experiences, but fortunately they were only very minor. Some of my purchases and sales have been for more than $1,000. Sellers live and die by feedback. This guy is obviously clueless if he replied to you with a nasty-gram. What do they say about the customer?

It strikes me as ironic that he would state that if a prospective buyer has no feedback he shouldn't bother bidding. What does that say about the seller?

Folks should remember that there have been individuals who accumulated a lot of bad feedback who opened new accounts to cover their pasts. This might be one example of this.

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...

so true Mrbumble.

you said (It strikes me as ironic that he would state that if a prospective buyer has no feedback he shouldn't bother bidding. What does that say about the seller?)

i have had three big problems with cars on ebay. fortunately i did not cause five hundred in cash. but took months to resolve.

I try to be respective , because he may very well be legitimate, but he is certainly not the sharpest hammer in the tool shed biz wise.

you guys are great. thanks for being a refuge of sanity and courtesy in a increasing less than human world.
hope to drive my 52 to virginia
next year

That 53 Patrician should have a 4-barrel carburetor. I wonder what engine is in it? Personally, I love those 53 Patricians, the interiors are just grand.

Yes, the '55 in MI looks pretty nice but the description & photos are a bit wanting. Do you suppose he is a dealer or a collector?
We will be watching.

Those pics of the 55 400 look like they were taken in the same place as the dealer from St. Louis uses--I believe.
