The hood top panels are 1941-1942 non-Clipper, quite different from 1940 as listed!

I'm confused, photos 3 & 4 in this listing show a trans with an O/D Governor(I think?) although the trans doesn't have an O/D! Thoughts as to what this is or what/why it is there?

I noticed that too. The car probably had Electro-Matic Clutch which had a device on the transmission that looked like a governor and probably was a governor.
