This is what I see and if images are downloaded and stored on a computer, might be useful in file management for someone who knows how or has programs to use it.
If it is more work to include and unless there is more I'm not seeing, not sure how much help it would be for someone doing a search here for just a few images to download & view with default settings. Attach file: (5.54 KB) (5.71 KB) (12.68 KB)

I don't think it is worth it to start adding Metadata. We have all the pertinent info in the file titles. I am not sure what Kev has in mind once he uploads the files but with the last set of of suggestions regarding title naming conventions I think we should be fine. Unless you have the application (Photoshop CS2/3- current and Bridge or Lightroom)I don't think adding Metadata will be of much use.
Let's leave it as it is unless Kev has other thoughts.

The best way to do all this (but most the labor) is to upload all the photos in the the archive, and actually add a verbose description to each photo, rather than depending on a long file name.
But this entails adding each photo one at a time. Embedded picture Metadata tags are not readable by the website search engine. So they would not be helpful to anyone trying to search for them here on the website.

Here's a follow-up to my previous post regarding the sample for #438165, which was missing its tag.
While that P/N turns up in the Numerical Index, pointing to Gr. 31.468 for Carpeting, it is absent from the application listing. I was hoping to find a supersession in an old factory price list that I had tucked away, but no luck. So, I went back to the 48-54 parts book and found a listing for P/N 438163 which leads to some hints. Two corresponding listings that follow are for same model and closely related trim sets, but with higher part number. Since 438164 also points to Gr. 31,468 and is also missing, I suspect there was a supersession to the numbers listed. So, in the absence of other information, I'll going out on a limb and say: 438165 (repl. by 442919?) 48-54, Gr. 31.468 = Carpeting 2552 Set 703,829 Blue? Meanwhile, in scrolling through the PDF swatch set, I ran across a card for P/N 449234, noted as Ivory in color, but with a brown grain. Though vinyl, not leather, I had to chuckle as I was reminded of "Phartedon White" - a term (jokingly) coined by Ed Cunningham, who was in charge of color and trim at Packard back in the '50s.

They are starting to come out of the toaster. Here are two with longer file names. This would be a good time to tell me if anything I have done does not work correctly.
In order to minimize mistakes, I'm doing these in small batches.... Kevin, how do we get the rest to you?

Kev, FTP = File Transfer Protocol? I have used it to temporarily give access to a file for someone, located in a different location, to use. That is the extent of my knowledge.
