Yes, I know it is a Stude and not a Pack but had to share her beauty. I am 3rd owner original paint.

Sorry Troy, although there are some shared genes late in the lineage there just isn't a place for your Stude in the Packard Owner's Registry.

Hi Troy

You went right for the top-of-the-line Studebaker, the Big Six Model EG. Least anyone confuse their pre-war market emphasis with their last compact efforts, Studebakers were solidly medium and upper-medium priced cars when the Big Sixes were current.

It truly is a big six too: 354 c.i., larger than the Buick, Nash and REO sixes among others and even the Cadillac V8. Because of their large engine but moderate size and medium price, they became a favorite of both law enforcement and bootleggers during Prohibition.

Good luck with this great Studebaker project. You'll find a supportive, knowledgeable group in the Antique Studebaker Club that specializes in the pre-war models.

Steve

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

Thanx Steve, yes we are working on bringing in more of the sought after cars. After much internal arguments in my head, I finally just accepted that even though it was late in the life cycle, Studebaker and Packard became one so I am branching out just a tad.

I love the Big Six, of course 1919 was year two for them. I am going to see if I can cut and buff the 97 year old paint and see if I can leave it as is.

Just thought I would share it here, but I will be logging the work on the Michiana Packard LLC face book page. The town of South Bend is excited to see it coming back to its birth place.

We are also looking at a 1905 Cadillac. while cool, it is getting out of my wheel house, but my partner wants it.
