I am looking for two Packard Coat of Arms patches to sew on to my sidemount covers. Any help in finding then would be appreciated. I am in the process of restoring my 30 734 Speedster Sedan. If will be debuted at Amelia Island in March.
It has not been seen in public for over thirty years.

Thanks,
Richard

Wow! Can't help with your request but it will be really exciting to see the other of only 2 surviving 734 Speedster sedans. My first trip to the Gilmore was in large part to see the one exhibited there.

Hi David,
Been awhile sence we have talked, the last time was when I was looking for a water pump for my 34.
My Speedster has some options that the other one doesn't, sidemounts, duel wipers, trunk rack and a trunk.

Why not have them embroidered using the image you have?

There are places here that do that sort of thing but I have no idea about your area! Some might require an EPS file of the coat of arms but I'm sure that someone somewhere must have one! I believe the design is trademarked but it wouldn't hurt to check with the Packard Club.

Do a search for custom embroidery. There are several places that come up that offer a service to do patches based on your artwork. There are a couple that mention small runs so one of those places might be able or willing to make just a few. There could be a size limitation though as I expect most make patches for sweaters etc.

The downside to custom work is like a lot of shops offering CNC machining services, unless you find a fairly small shop that needs the business many of the places will charge a substantial setup fee and want you to order enough to supply every car at the show and then some.

Another option would be to make it as a vinyl iron-on which can be done one at a time. Depending on how large you were planning to make it, you could even do it yourself by buying the special "paper" (Avery and others make it, available at local office supply stores or Amazon.com), then printing it on your inkjet printer. The JPG you provided might not be big enough to enlarge as its already quite pixelated (as the JPG format always does) so again, an EPS would be preferred as it could be resized to any size needed!

I believe the coat of arms is a registered trademark owned by The Packard Club. If so, their permission would be required.

That's what I was hinting at in post #6.
