Were any of the Rollson models built? If yes, do any survive?

like the Darrinish treatment....

Survivor Rollson Sport Sedan, 1940, photos from a club publication some years back. Don't know about the others though I believe at least one 1940 or 1941 Rollson Victoria exists. And there are several 1941 one-off Rollsons that wouldn't be pictured in the catalog offerings.

There is at least one sun air sedan existing. Believed one of one. It desperately needs a new owner, as the current owner has stalled in the restoration attempt. Major rollover damage. Will require advanced metal and woodworking skills, but "it is what it is". Serious inquiries only please.
OH, and if anyone wants a more "common" 41 Lebaron restoration project (Either Sport Sedan or Limo), contact me as well. Can't decide? Buy the pair...

The convertible victoria was built in 1940, a photo of one is in a Rollson article by Hugo Pfau in an old Cars & Parts magazine. A left-over convertible victoria body was acquired by J.S. Inskip after the war, modified and mounted on a postwar Roll-Royce Silver Wraith chassis....its not a nice aesthetic match-up.

The 1940 Sport Sedan pictured is a glorious automobile, so glad it survives and has been restored. Whether a 1941 version every saw the light of day is unknown

Two 1940 Sunair sport sedans were built, one a knotchback, 3-box format, the other a fastback. The latter survives, the car Flackmaster notes as needing a new owner. Have never seen photos of any 1941 versions built.

The convertible sedan design looks nice except where the diving beltline results in a very uncomfortable rear doorhandle placement.

Anyone else notice that in the drawings of the '41 versions, the headlights are being pulled back up out of the fender? I have to admit, I like it.

The story behind the Rollson was interesting: It IS a blatant dup of the hallowed Darrins, but Dutch (being Dutch) was a master at creating excitement and desire, but not so good at actual production and delivery, so Rollson (who has excellent manufacturing abilities) stepped in with their 'Similar' design.

I don't know how well they sold (the Darrins sold in minuscule numbers, about 40!) but just knowing that such beauty was available makes me feel good...
