To place a new gasket in the differential (front side of differential), do you have to pull the rear axles? If so replace the rear seals as well?
Thankfully,
Al Miller

Al, And, while you have the axles out pack the bearings and install new inner and outer oil seals. Good time to check the condition of the wheel cylinders and brake linings. Do the job right the first time and you will not have to work on this again for a long time. Welcome to the "Mission Creep" zone.

have to be careful with the pinion seal thought, when you re tighten the pinion nut, there is a crush sleave in there, that sets the pinion depth, may want to mark the nut to the shaft, then count the turns off, and reverse to put it back on

Yes, the precision length crush sleeve sets the preload for the pinion shaft bearings. Count exactly the number of turns to remove the nut and install it exactly the same number of turns, no more - no less). Carefully mark the nut and the housing to establish installed position.

Thanks so much for the great info!
I ordered the dif gasket, axle seals and a pinion seal as well.
Just replated some of the front grill. So I figured it would be a good idea to take the radiator to Performance here in Phoenix for preventitive. (Great shop)
Now waiting on the water rebuilt pump.
Sent the hydro motor for rebuild a s well...
Looking forward to driving in several weeks.
