Mal, Ditto to JW's posting. I truly enjoyed reading about your travels and seeing the photos of the cars and owners. Bon Voyage!

My thanks to everyone for their kind words.

But back home now and slowly sorting out the pic's. I took somewhere in the vicinity of 3,500 pic's over the course of the trip! That won't surprise those who know me. Unfortunately a number of factors conspired against many of these turning out as acceptable, maybe half are OK. Excuses are camera problems, my own camera, on which it's almost impossible to view onscreen what you're taking a pic of. And one I borrowed from my daughter which, unbeknownst to me, produced a lot, a helluva lot, of blurred pic's. Then there were the museums which, although allowing photography, don't permit flash use. I remember an old axiom about a bad tradesman blaming his tools, well I qualify on both counts.

These albums are:

The Petersen Museum

Packards at The Nethercutt

Other cars at The Nethercutt - Sorry, lots of fuzzy & other problem pic's here.

Non car stuff at The Nethercutt

NHRA Museum with special guest appearance by BigKev

California swing

Dayton Ohio

More to come, including a few more Nethercutt pic's, over the next few days.

There is NO Hershey - Day 1, because of an operator MALfunction, aptly named because he forgot to put the memory card in the camera!

Mal, how do we thank you for posting all those pictures and giving us hours of entertainment? Just wonderful. I'll be coming back to these tonight for a repeat show!

A few captions you might want to correct: in one of your Day 2 at Hershey pictures you've got Ole Book identified as Dwight Heinmuller, in another GTO is called Jim but it's Gerry - can you edit?

I paused quite a while in the Nethercutt pictures to look at the special 1938-39 radio antenna, it's the only other one I've ever seen! Here's the other.

O_D Thanks for the heads up on the mis-captioning. Coming back to many many pic's, days after the event, isn't helped by my failing memory. That's why I take pic's of the information cards if a car has one. Have now fixed the captions. If you, or anyone, see any more needing adjustment just yell!

Concerning the special 1938-39 radio antenna, I've also fixed the caption for that. I actually saw a second one at the Fort Lauderdale Packard Museum and not the Dayton Museum as I previously indicated. Fort Lauderdale pic's are coming.
