All this makes me appreciate the relics from the plant that I have (office door, piece of paneling, and cube from the factory floor). I donate to the proving grounds and museum, and I encourage others to do what they can. And, let's not forget to help Big Kev keep this site going.

When the plant was last in the news, a MAJOR roadblock to demolition (sadly, probably the best thing) was being discussed.

Asbestos.

That should certainly make the plant more desireable in an auction. It kind of reminds me of the car listed for sale in the newspaper in which the owner was asking $3,500. He wrote that the tires were flat, the gas tank leaked, the transmission was shot, and if you could get it started, the engine was likely to catch fire. Otherwise, it was a great deal!
