Congratulations I've had my 51 Packard 300 since 2011 and it has been slow coming for mine as it was a restoration project and not already completed. It runs and drives though so I still get to enjoy it.

We are back in business after repairing the gas tank leak and replacing radiator cap and flushing system. Along with a fully charged battery and freshly changed oil, Baby Blue is running smooth.

Wife took 3 steps back after our adversity but she is coming back along after our 1 hour ride tonight with zero issues!

Have posted a pic of the car with its previous owner and will post more after I get it washed up soon.

Thanks to all for your assistance.

Welcome New Packard Owner,

I have two Packard's, 1951, 200, and a 1953 Packard Clipper. One of the best enjoyments to driving our cars is driving "too see, and be seen". Enjoy.

Cedar Rapids Packards...

From a new Packard owner to a NEWER Packard owner

I bought my 49 last September, and the gang here is fantastic. More than willing to share what ever knowledge they have about these cars. If you're not sure, ask here. Someone will chime in and offer assistance. I have had so much help from people here, it has made the journey of getting to know my car a very positive experience.

If it won't move, get a bigger wrench.
If it breaks, it needed fixing anyway.

Let me add my congratulations to those of other forum members on your new (to you) Packard. Driving your gem is truly one of the joys of owning a Packard. I'm still a relative newbie in Packard-land and I must add my comments to those others who have mentioned how friendly and helpful other members of this forum are. I look forward to reading future posts of how you are making out with your Packard.

I've always enjoyed the 51-54 models. Here is my 51 200 painted in a 52 combination.

Any insurance issues since it seems to live outside a garage?

I am missing 3 bumper bolts and the front bumper Packard badge/medallion. Any guidance on where I might find? Have seen the bolts on ebay but no luck on the other.

Got Baby Blue washed up today and will post more pics soon.

Joel Ray is best source for the bumper bolts, and likely will have the grille medallion. packards1 at aol dot com and he is also a frequent visitor to this site as packards1
