I won't use the factory bumper jack other than as a display piece in the trunk. But I am looking for something compact and usefully, but not at unwieldy as my 3-ton floor jack. In the front of the 56 I place the jack under the lower A-frame so only 1 inch of lift is needed. In the rear I remove the skirt and place the jack under the frame ahead of the wheel rather than under the axle. I'd guess about 8 inches of lift is needed. Posted on: 2013/11/6 18:40

You almost Have to jack up the frame on a 51-56 Packard. Posted on: 2013/11/6 19:58
