Hello, I have recently bought a 37 115C and am looking for people to help with questions and more importantly meeting owners and looking at cars. I am in the Kansas City area.
Anything local happening with packards would be great.
Mine is a driver and ready for the summer.

Congratulations on your new Packard. One great way to enhance your enjoyment is by joining a club of like-minded folks. From their website check some of the back issues of their newsletter to get a better feel for activities that they host. You should consider contacting these folks, I see quite a few events listed;

Congratulations on your 115C. As you know it is a one year only model. I have a Convertible Coupe of this model, which body type is yours? Members of the Mid-America Packard Club, from the Kansas City area, have attended the All Texas Packard Meet in Salado, Texas. Are you a member of the Packard Automobile Classics or PAC? It is an organization with members from throughout the world. I believe you can locate clubs/regions on the PAC site. Just Google Packard Club. The site you are on now is the most active for information exchange on Packards. Welcome.

Hello T,

As JW already mentioned, bring your car to the Texas Packard Meet

texaspackardmeet.com

Maybe you can caravan down with some of the other KC Packards.

There is also a very, very active AACA Region in Kansas City. In fact, they will be hosting an AACA national meet next year (2015). If interested, you can get contact information here:

Lots of questions to ask and lots to learn.
This car will be a driver and is 99% complete if 1% equals the interior. Came with a banjo wheel and Am radio if this was 1937 That would be loaded with options. Pics will follow. Do need new glass. before I take it out to stretch it legs. Seems to be 88,000 miles and all the wood is in excellent shape.

The neat part about the prewar cars is that you can take the old glass down to your local glass shop and they can make new ones easily as everything is flat. If you look at the Max Merritt website, they carry the Steele Rubber products, but will give you a 10% discount on the rubber gaskets you'll need. They are still expensive, but they do work nicely. Of course, when the glass is out, that's a good time to have the chrome redone and greasing the window winders, door crank etc. Be sure and use lots of WD40 when you put the rubber back in; it sure makes it easier.
