This could be some cheap, rock solid metal for your resto project? Could be lots of great parts.

No, I'm not the one who's butchering a Packard.

This an EBay add, but the car the parts came off is interesting.

ebay.com/itm/1951-1952-1953-1954-Packard ... ssories&hash=item43c67df004&vxp=mtr

1st it has the continental kit adding length and weight,

2nd it has a trailer hitch for more weight. Notice the center of the hubcap? It is the plug in for the trailer!

I would have liked to have seen the car in its day pulling the trailer!

What year and model is this car?

From trim I can see I would guess it might have started a 52 400 but there is at least one oddity. I think the Packard side fender script might be 54 or later.

Caribbean or not, $18,500 is a lot of cash to ask for a car that needs this kind of work.

WRT to that listing from the Cleveland area for a '1955 Packard Caribbean Convertible Project', you might wanna review the discussion in this thread on a 55 caribbean on ebay. It's the same car.

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...
