I love this place. It's a great resource. I had no earthly idea I'd actually encounter someone familiar with that particular car.

Would you consider the car a reliable driver?

kind regards,
Garrett Meadows

I would be happy to pass along the phone number of the owner, just PM me. I must insist though, as with any car this old, that you come and assess it for yourself. Period. One mans opinion, whether it be an appraiser, onlooker (such as myself) or that of the seller will never be the same as yours. Fly into DFW or Love Field - I will pick you up and review the car with you.

A great offer and, if you can arrange it, one well worth the airfare to take it up. To be able to tap into the Flackmasters knowledge and first hand advice on '37 Packards is almost priceless!

If you look on EBay there are many solid state converters that will put out either a regulated 6 volt or 12 volt. I just used a 12>6 volt converter to run a modern gas gauge in a 6 volt Rolls Royce.
These things are dirt cheap and usually shipped from China. the one that I used puts out 5 amps and can be regulated from 12 volts all the way up to 19 volts if that is what you want. I paid about eight bucks for it including shipping.

Here is one that might work for you
