Attached is a picture of a "Fore aft stabilizer" in my 23 series. I have been wondering what to call this part to order new rubber pieces.

Sorry I am such a dummy at adding pictures to the post, someone told me how months ago and I'll be danged if I remember.

Is this part #333790?
Thanks,
Barry

Geez, it added the picture. Here are a couple of others.

The part number in the previous post I made is not the correct one after researching the Steele Products catalog.

Anybody have a part number and or idea where I can get new grommets for this?

Thanks,
Barry

Packard called the rod and brackets a snubber assy. Here is Steeles listing for their replacement rubber. Kanter sells them by the set too. Listed on their 48-54 page in Gr 5.1504

Hi there,

After spending some quality time with google I have not been able to find any other photos of the rear of a 49/50 with these two lights. They look like they could be reverse lights? Can anyone shed any 'light' on it?!

Cheers,

Warren

They appear to be the dealer option back up lights, though normally only one was fitted, to the driver's side. The switch to activate it (or them in your case) should be under the hood on the gear shift linkage.

The factory accessory has "PACKARD" stamped on the top. There is a similarly shaped generic aftermarket version.

Thank you for the information, I thought they may have been reverse lights. They have nothing stamped on them so I suspect they are an aftermarket.

I will have to investigate the switch as they do not operate when I select reverse.

Many thanks!

Cheers,

Warren

I hope Wazza doesn't mine me using his thread, but I have a cable I'm trying to identify.
So here it is, it looks like Packard Part Number 378144. The cable multiple wires of different lengths. Its about 7 ft. long and has one wire with a fuse cap end. The closest I could find was in the 1947 Parts book was Part Number 378147 2000-001-03-06-10-11 for 4.057651 Wiring Harness -Rear, but that's not it.
Thanks for any help.
Wes
