A mild custom 56 on Ebay, It looks pretty decent, though the interior looks a little pedestrian. Is that Service Replacement Blue on the mill?
What will it bring.

Hi

More choices to consider:

A '40 110 sedan, grille damage, kicked-around condition:
chicago.craigslist.org/nwi/cto/5437536455.html

A '41 120 sedan, very decent looking, could use some interior and dash restoration:
chattanooga.craigslist.org/cto/5433241141.html

Jumping to Contours:
1952 200 sedan:
Stick shift "Would consider skid steer,....." If you have a skid steer to trade, here's your deal:
appleton.craigslist.org/cto/5434677899.html

Ultramatic, presentable except under the hood, toothy grille and scuppers does not a Patrician 400 make:
houston.craigslist.org/cto/5444267730.html

A 300, project, snazzy yellow cylinder head and breather cap:
tricities.craigslist.org/cto/5435438419.html

Lastly, a ratty-looking '53 Clipper Sportster, note B-pillar trim and hardtop-style door panel. Looks to be a stick shift too.

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

52 200 Sedan appears to be a stick shift, even though the ad says "automatic". 53 Clipper Sportster has the sometimes discussed clutch pedal pad rotated 90 deg. to go with the power brakes.

Another V8 3 on da tree with OD. Price covers the stick setup alone! Difficult to go wrong.

I could tow bar it home with that modified '56. Ooooh Baby.

That '55 is a nice car. 3 speed, OD, runs, and the interior is presentable.

I wonder what the gotcha is at that price?

Looks nice; but "only 85,000 miles" could be cause for some concern, it's a pittance for modern cars but a lot of miles for an engine of that era. If the engine hasn't had some major service it could be a significant bill, a good quality valve job can run $15,000 or more. And with rod bearings being nearly unavailable, that's another concern.

Interesting to note that the 55 Clipper with stick and OD has the clutch pedal pad in the conventional orientation, but has power brakes. This is different than the 53 Sportster. Maybe the 55 had the TU replaced.

It kind of looks like the gear indicator is still on the steering column. This one is an odd ball. I really love those wheels, though ...

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...
