The 39th Annual Texas Packard meet will be held April 1-3, 2016, in Kerrville, Texas. The site change was required as the Stagecoach Inn in Salado is going through extensive renovation and will not be available. The headquarters hotel is the Inn of the Hills Resort. The address is 101 Junction Hwy, Kerrville, Texas, 78028. The phone number to call for reservations is 830-895-5000. You must mention the Texas Packard Meet for the special rate. The hotel features two swimming pools, a free breakfast, and guests are invited to bring a rod and reel to fish in the river behind the hotel.

The Texas Packard meet has had as many as seventy Packards and two hundred plus participants. It features an early bird tour, an all Packard swap meet, people's choice competition, seminars on various Packard subjects, a banquet, and an awards program. For more information go to the www.texaspackardmeet.com or contact meet registrar Jeannie Clark at 221 Hills of Texas Trail, Georgetown, Texas, 78633 or call 210 347 1014.

Checked there also. Just too much money to spend for the weekend when I am already booked for Traverse City meet as well. Maybe next year!

Rarely has Southwest been cheaper that the major airlines from any of the local airports in So. Calif in the past two years. Most of the time I can get a RT ticket cheaper on American than on Southwest, and with fewer stops.

Only time southwest works out cheaper is on a short haul flight. Like from here in PHX, Vegas, or SFO.

Pretty much too late in the game now. I would have needed to buy a ticket right after the new year to get a good price.

I try to plan ahead better for next year.

Hopefully, some of you guys can make it up to the National Meet in Michigan in June.

Won't hold my breath but if the fellow with the prewar factory AC Clipper happens to appear with the car I hope someone is able to get documentation photos. A good start would be verifying compressor location. If the one or two Clipper photos or illustrations available haven't been flipped and it is on the left, knowing what all was changed on the engine to move the compressor would be interesting. Oil filter location is one thing that must have changed.
