No suspension changes. I will post all of the numbers soon. I have never been a purist except when it comes to whiskey. Nothing more than ice.
As for my Packard, I'm going for the traditional look with cross country reliability.

Suspect there was a collective sigh of relief here on PackardInfo when that last post was read.

My plan for this boat tail speedster is to break the project into 4 sub projects:

- body
- frame and suspension
- engine and driveline
- paint and final assembly

The body project will include rust repair, fabricating new doors and the rest of the body. I am going to replace the rotted out wood with steel tubing and sheet metal. Of course anything that I can find reasonably priced I would buy instead of building, like doors. For the boat tail deck I need to find a similar model to get measurements off of, any guidencec here old be great. I have no windshield posts... so I am thinking about building a Duval style windshield. The downside will be the loss of the cowl vent.

The frame and suspension project and the engine and driveline projects will be more restoration back to original. I may take some liberties when it comes to improvements that can increase safety and reliability.

I have been traveling for the past several days so I'll be back in my shop and back to work on the cowl

I have also posted some YouTube vids I will share

Mike, I have a similar project I'm working on just outside Detroit so not too far away from you. I am leaning towards doing a woody body so I have many sedan body parts you may be interested in (like doors). I have an extra set of the steel inner and outer A pillars too if you think you could use them. If you go in to the projects area of the website you can find my build blog that may help you as you start to rebuild the chassis. Good luck. Send me an e-mail at tfee16811 at gmail if you need help with something. Oh, and let me know if you plan on parting with those rear fenders.

Thanks Todd. I'll get hold of you about doors... Unfortunately I am planning on keeping the fenders.

This morning I finally got the dash removed from the cowl... started rust removal...

I decided to go with a Duval style windshield, so I cut out the cowl vent. The vid posted here shows my progress.
