Looking good -- and with the 4 or 5 months before it gets hot there you have plenty of time to get them mounted. Expect they will go in the que after the trans though. Of course that is assuming you have a few days above 0 before then to work on either. It is miserable trying to hold on to anything or install tiny screws while wearing a parka and down filled gloves.

The "rings" that hold the tubes are made of rubber, or something similar, and are nearly petrified. So need to figure out something. Probably a good candidate for casting.

What is the diameter of your duct end?. I have what I think is an ARA flange which is also petrified and may have shrunk. It could have been an 1/8 or so larger originally but right now it measures 3 7/8 ID x 5 3/8 OD x 1. I have material left over and if it would fit your duct I would give a go toward trying a couple of castings.

If someone has a car with the holes who can take some measurements, perhaps the bolt circle where the three screws go would give an idea of shrinkage when comparing the measurement with that of the rubber ring's holes.

Howard,

I believe those are the same. Mine have some shrinkage as well at the are a bit "ovaled" from the tubes leaning forward. Even the tubes have a bit of an oval in them. But the dimensions look spot on. except for about 1/4" out of round. Texas heat/Field Car.

I think any casting would need to be made in a material that is firm enough to support the tubes, but flexible enough to account for the out of roundness of the tubes.

I didn't realize the tubes have a fastener near the top to secure them to the C-Pillars.

Just for clarification on the dimensions:

3.7-3.9 ~3.8" on the inside diameter of the walls.
3.5-3.7 ~3.6" on the inside diameter of the bottom ridge.
5.1-5.3 ~5.2" on for the overall outer diameter.
