Hi all.
Just want know was the 1951/52 packard 288cu 6 volt or 12 volt starter?

6 volt, positive ground [earth].

I'm not positive about the really early cars but between 1908 and 1954, all Packards (with the exception noted later), like the majority of U.S. cars, were 6-volt and positive ground. The only exception I'm aware of is the availability by special order during the late 30s of 12-volt on certain export models of senior cars. From the little I know about this, it appears to have been limited to cars destined for the British Commonwealth.
