Hi
"More good values in gently used Packards" One of the earliest Single Sixes we've found to post, a preserved original '24 226 five passenger touring, not inexpensive: plattsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/6166111346.html A '39 Six sedan, ready for enjoyment, similar to the '41 110 coupe ScottG posted, looks decent for the money: york.craigslist.org/cto/6179994055.html A '53 Mayfair, unless its hiding some serious problems, looks to be a screaming deal: washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/cto/6161024754.html Steve

36 Packard 120 and a parts car.
There's lots of parts. I see some senior bumpers in the stacks. nashville.craigslist.org/cto/6193004500.html

I don't think the boattail craze started as early as 1917. But here's a 1917 Packard V12 boattail. I'm a little sceptical, but if it's an original car it's a steal.

When did the Packard Twin Sixes go to detachable cylinder heads? Is this a 1st or 2nd series car? JWL Note: I think this is a 2nd series Twin Six (2-25 Runabout), if so the detachable cylinder head engine would be correct.

Non-detachable cylinder heads on the Twin Six was the first year only.

Thanks, O_D. This was my thought too, but I was not sure Packard carried this design feature over into the second year. A search of the Packard Model Info seemed to answer my question, but you have now verified it. There is a wealth of information on this website if one take the extra effort to look it up. JWL
