I can't help with the Packard part numbers. If you want actual bearing manufacturer part numbers instead of Packard part numbers, Hollanders will give you that info. Of course you can also get the OEM bearing numbers directly from the old bearing itself. Also, again if you want the bearing maker's number, George at Olcar Bearing would be glad to provide them, and the bearings as well if you wish.

Thanks, Dave. Yes, I have the old bearings with numbers. I have a list of bearings for the car from one of the manuals, so I'm good on that score.
I was mainly asking (curious) Where is section 50.500, which is referenced next to all the Packard bearing part numbers in the '35-'41 Parts Book? They just skipped over it. Was it another book? Inquiring minds want to know.

I didn't find 50.500 in any of the parts book utility lists. Wonder if it was something never implemented or that was later eliminated. There are so many different bearings it would probably have been unwieldy treated with a short section like other utility items.

Well, Howard, I think that's a great solution to many complexities.
Packard had a brilliant Parts Inventory Publications Manager. "Too many of those for the book, Bill. Just list that under 50.500." I love it. And yes, George provided the bearings for my transmission when we did that a couple years ago.

Just for funzies, I put group 50 in Max's site, and it came up with a couple 50.900s, so may exist. This one is out of my wheelhouse, so maybe try PAC, if not on this site.
