Conical brake spring 1932 Deluxe 8
Does anyone know a source for the conical spring which fits on the brake cable end on the outside of the brake backing plate brake actuator lever? It is light duty about 7/8 inch on the large end and 1/2 inch on the small end. Its 3 1/4 inches long with .063 wire. Thanks

The part number is 138694. There is 4 of them per car and its used in multiple years.

I believe the use of that p/n extends from the 1st Series Eight, perhaps earlier, thru but not after the 9th Series. I don't know of a source for it and if there is no source there might be sufficient demand to have a place like Century Spring or another custom spring house make a small run of them.

Restoration supply have several different springs in their catalog. Their web site is restorationstuff.com. Lots of bolts and fasteners.
