Looks like a Stant G-37 cap, very commonly available.

Is there a non vented version of the G-37? In case I decide to run a higher vent from the rubber on the filler tube and up through the trunk?

Just an update on the "drok" voltage reducer that I had for my gas and temp gauge...The car is running 12 volts, and last year my gauges started going up and down with the original voltage reducer. I then tried the drok solid state china reducer. It worked, sort of...Temp always read a little lower than with the old fashioned voltage reducer, and the gas gauge seemed to move with the temperature of the engine. I went back to an original part, and both gauges are working fine.
So, I will say the drok is a failed experiemnt and would not use it anymore. After taking the drok out, I tested it with my multi meter, and it was still putting out 5 volts, but I guess it is not really compatiable with our gauges. Still don't have a solution to my gas coming out the gas cap. If I drive very gently through the curves, nothing comes out...I have a second new cap coming next week, so I can experiment with modifying one cap to seal the vent and/or try some rubber or foam sealer on the mating surface.

I'm using the original 5v gauge voltage regulator on 12v without any issue. The gauges are actually 5 volt, not 6 volts as were many ford gauge into the 70s. Packard used the same voltage regulator on 1954 6v cars as they did on 55/56 12v cars. The gauges need a steady 5v, not the 6-7.2v that the generator/battery is putting out. This is why the voltage regulator is used.

My sister in law got married a few weeks ago, so I had the honor of driving the bride and groom to the reception. Even a coupe can be used in a wedding! Using the car in the wedding was good motivation for me to give it a good cleaning, and fix a bunch of little things in the interior (headliner and trim around the rear window). No changes on the gas filler, just driving and enjoying when the weather is good.
I used to change my oil before putting away for the winter, but now I just do it sometime in the fall. The car performed very well in the wedding. I was a little nervous, but she ran like a top! Thanks to Cathrin Bronni Photography.

Like Fozzy bear and kermit in a studebaker.... Movin right along...
Love that overdrive transmission. Seeing as how max horsepower is listed at 3600rpm, cruising at 70 mph and 2300 rpm seems pretty reasonable.

Really nice car Mike! I'll be that Clipper is smooth and quiet at 70 in overdrive.
Noticed you are located in Germany. Is that the Autobahn that you are driving on in the picture?

Thanks Paul,
yes, that is the A81 autobahn on a quiet section where it is unlimited, and there is not much traffic. Closer to the cities the speed limit is around 70mph, but out in the country you can go faster (depending on if traffic allows it) I do have some wind noise coming from the vent windows in the front doors. That would be something nice to improve one day. The rubber is from steele, and they fit pretty well. I guess they need some glue or something to seal it better to the door.
