Mal, I keep hearing about the terrible fires around Sydney. Reports talk about much smoke and haze in the city and surrounding area. Hope all is well with you and your family and the conditions are not too bad where you are. Global climate change seems to be affecting many places. The recent and still burning fires in California are taking their toll on life and property. Take care and stay safe.

Thanks for your thoughtful concern. Fortunately we've not been impacted by the fires themselves, only smoke and haze when weather and wind are unfavourable, so we're lucky. Drought in many parts of the country haven't helped, leading to conditions which fires thrive in but making it difficult for fire fighters to contain or extinguish blazes.

Mal, it's good to hear you have not been impacted by the fires. Looking at my Geochron, I see it is about 6:10AM Sunday morning there. Time zone K? If so, you are up early. Take care...
