Within 4 cars by the theft-proof number, or by the vehicle number? Neither one necessarily means the cars were closely related time-wise, especially for low volume models. What is the theft-proof number?

blue40devil,
See in the Owner Registry you have a '38 Twelve Touring Sedan. Now someone will correct me if I'm wrong but "I think" the bodies for the Senior Cars were virtually the same year-to-year in that era. Plus Twelve production was fairly low so unused bodies might be sitting for a while until put into production. And the Thief Proof Number is the large embossed number on the firewall, if you can provide that, it may help.

Mal, what you suggest is true for the Twelve between 1938 and 1939; many 1939 Twelves are bodied with leftover 1938 Twelve bodies which were in fact identical, identification very easily established by the theft-proof #.
We also know of a handful of 1936 Twelves bodied with leftover 1935 bodies plus an updated noseclip. But that does not hold true for 1937 senior bodies, they are significantly different from 1938.

Unfortunately, I have no way to access the other car or its TPN. I have been told my car was EARLY, whatever that means.
Also the data plate (decal) on mine is illegible.
