Can you read the plaque on the box behind the man on the right?

Hello Owen,

Earlier today you said, "... I suspect the chassis is or will shortly be on its way to the Proving Grounds."

Well, the chassis arrived today at under our Christmas tree at the PPG with help from Santa Claus and a few of his elves. This is perfect timung as we just won a cash grant of $1,500 from the MotorCities National Heritage Area to create an audio/visual display explaining the engineering advances of the T/L suspension system.

Thanks for helping out on the restoration. We owe a deep debt of gratitude to Ole' Book and his crew for this wonderful gift.

Many thanks to all involved.

P.S. Can't post some photos due to a security concern. Some will post, others won't. Hmmm...

Thanks Dave. That gives me a model. To follow.

Mine will be bare bones. No exhaust. No drive shaft.

Where the fuel tank is 100 pound weight. Up and down . Will use the manual over ride.

On those images that won't post look at the name and see if there are any number sequences such as a date or a time where the numerals are separated by periods. If so edit those numbers and periods out. Sometimes sites can see a random string of numbers separated by periods and think it is an IP address and the content is trying to redirect the post.

The way some operating systems (Mac OS is one of them) defaults the time notation when something was done in an image or screen shot has guaranteed that security message for me more than once when I forgot to edit the time out. Maybe something similar is happening on your post.

Thanks Howard,

Yes, that is what caused it - a string of numbers separated with periods.

Here are the delivery photos.

Looks much better than when I saw it at a PAC meet.
Finally found these pictures.

Thank you to all who worked to restore it, especially Mr. Ole Book.

I am curious about what they did to be able to have the system work for demonstration but not need the weight of the body. Was it special bars or did they just not twist or index a standard set to the degree the body weight needed. Is any extra weight added into the frame at the rear to help balance the engine weight? In the period photo there almost looks like some kind of box might be on the frame behind the two people.

Howard (HH56), or they twisted the bars but only half as much.
Your idea with the weighty box I also like.

Guscha,

Thanks!
That helps.

Guscha/Howard,
Does this weight look like what's in the picture?

I was amused at the "provided rude quality" on the large display sign! Anyway, the chassis is gorgeous.
