Rob,
for including your '28 Six Sedan in the Packards Owner's Registry.

I had trouble getting the photo to upload but was finally successful. It might be that files over a certain size don't work.

Yes it is. From the parts book it appears that this change was made with engine serial number 142172 and my engine number is 136942. I have '27 California plates on the car which were on it when I bought it. I registered it with those plates.
Car is also Early C Anthony car but not sure exactly which location it was sold at. Firewall plate is blank.

Rob,

Photo looks great, especially with your car amid the autumn(fall) colour()color).

Here are some photos of the choke and spark on my car. I don't know how they are mounted since the car has not been apart and restored. All original. I hope this helps you.

I am trying to determine the original paint scheme for my 526. While the wheels were re-painted on the outside the inside of the disc wheels appear to still have the original color with is a light green. Carefully scraping away paint on the outside does show what appears to be a gold pinstripe. From this information the car might be painted with Paint Scheme "J" with would have been black, Chicadee Green, and Drake Green. Does anybody have a photograph of the paint chips so that I can determine if the colors I have found on the car match any of these? I have attached a photo of the wheel and if this is Paint Scheme 'J' then the wheel color is Chicadee Green.

Does this wheel look like it is painted Chicadee Green?
Does anybody know what Drake Green looks like?

Any help would be appreciated.

Rob

Now you make me wonder if the speedometer is original. If not, then mileage might not be correct. However, based on mechanical condition of the car it seems possible.
More research needed.
