The speedometer cable exits the cabin at the intersection of the cowl and floor board (the upper edge of the carpet) just about two inches left of the right side toe board. There is a metal strap where the cowl and floor board intersect with a loop at the right end of it for the cable sheath to pass thru.

Not the same car as your Twelve, but there's a photo of a Startix in a '34 Eight Club Sedan in Post #1223 in this thread

Also, have a look at this thread for Startix info by O_D.

And, I invite you to include your '34 Twelve Limo in the Packard Vehicle Registry.

You can also use the "Advanced Search" function at the foot of this page to locate more Startix info.

Startix location
Starter on right side of v12 as opposed to left side on 8cyl so I’m thinking Startix would also be on right side
