I understand that the heater control valve is different on factor A/C-equipped cars in 1955 and 1956 but the Parts Cross-Reference shows the Everhot H-1219 as fitting all. Anyone know what the difference might be? Would the Everhot be a factory valve or is it an aftermarket replacement?

I had an NOS heater control valve in Studebaker Packard packaging for my 1956 Packard. It was a Ranco unit.
