You might try an email to the address they have on their sales page and see if they respond.mykmlifestyle.com/Product_Order_Information.html
Also have a look at this thread showing what Rscott77x had and what he received. I had thought it the wrong sender but maybe that is just the way KM mfgs them.packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb ... .php?post_id=203365#forumpost203365 As far as I know he wound up with the correct sender but maybe a PM would fill in details or provide an update as to any issues.

Thank you again, Howard. I actually had updated my post that I did eventually find their email address hidden away on a subpage and have written.
Also, was the standard 1951-1954 sender of the type that had a 0 to 10 ohm range or was it something else?

Standard 51-56 numbers are the same as Fords and some Chryslers of the era. About 73 ohms at empty and 10 at full.
Here is a quick rundown of available ranges commonly found with so called universal or replacement senders today. The pre 1948 obsolete range of 100 empty - 0 full that Packard used on Clippers and maybe some prewar conventional bodies is not shown and that is the one Rscott needed to have made. After the second quarter of the shop’s insulation is done, the Henney-Packard and the lift it’s on will be moved to another section of the shop so last night I removed many of the parts for it that have been collecting on the lift between the front and rear tires. Heavy parts like the rear end and transmission are stored on the floor in another part of the shop and there are yet more bits and pieces inside.
After that, I drove the 1965 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special that was parked under it and started to let it down but failed to notice that the rear bumper was overhanging the 1956 Clipper! Fortunately there is a pair of old 1954 Patrician rear seat cushions on the roof of the Clipper that made an unexpected sound when the bumper touched them so I stopped just in time. They were sticking out a bit farther than they were by the time I took the photo below so the bumper touched them first. The Clipper’s antenna was extended part way and got bent slightly but no serious damage, fortunately. Attach file: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

For those who care about such details, here is the fuel level sender. It looks like the sender from the 22nd and 23rd series cars, as does the tank itself, but the mechanism is designed to work with the 1951 gauge. As bad as it looks in the photo, it’s actually quite solid and possibly restorable which I’ll soon find out as it’s being sent off to do so.
I was surprised to find the arm and float intact but it has been sitting for over 50 years empty so that’s probably why. The tank sounds like a giant maraca when shaken so will need cleaning and sealing. Attach file: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Very glad indeed! It was a long day and I was tired but thought getting the ambulance down to the ground would give me less to do the next day.
The next day I pushed over the Clipper out of harm's way (it's on dollies but required driving out another car first and moving some parts to make a space for it) and finished the task of lowering the Henney, then pushed it outside. I may have posted the last time it was outside that the ground has a very slight slope downward so with the momentum off the ramps and onto the slope, I was holding onto the rear bumper guard and dragging my heals into the gravel trying to stop it! It didn't go as far as last time where I had expected more resistance and pushed harder but I still had to push it back part way and block it in place. Next step after the lift has been relocated (it is half way over now) is to get the Henney moved over and back on it but not sure how that will happen.

Be sure to tell KM lifestyles how many bolts are on the sender. That way they can nail it down pretty close. That's how I got the right one. The one they sent me was the specification for my car but in the post-war era they were probably grabbing any part they could to get them into the car that would work so they could sell it. It was a magnificent sender extremely well made and more aircraft like in it's quality. But the correct one was just an inexpensive one that worked flawlessly. Also they sent it with a cork float on it. That will not work with ethanol gasoline. I found a float at jegs, I think and put it on the sender and that's what I'm using for a float. The only sealant that's going to hold up on that cork float is gas tank sealer. But I didn't want to buy a huge can just for that.

Because the Henney senders (as with most Henney-Packard parts) are unique to these cars, I'm sending off mine to be rebuilt but not to KM Lifestyles. It is going to Tri-Starr LLC in New York. Has anyone had any experience with them?
