A 40 model for sure sporting a sun visor. Again, another Six/110. Very much like the 39s but with a narrower grille shell.

It's a 23rd series car, but cannot tell if a 49 or 50.

It's a 21st series car, but no differences, appearance wise, between the 46s and 47s. Similar looking to the 20th 42s, but with the wider grille bars.

Attractive 53 convertible. Don't think it is an unveiling of the new models, but rather a lodge parade. Note the Pontiac convertible in the back with lodge members and children like in the Packard.

Although this is obviously a staged promotion image for the 1918-1919 Packard Twin-Six Landaulet, it illustrates a genteel social custom of the era, namely "taking the air".   Since the horse-drawn carriage days, the upper social classes would dress in their finery, be chauffeured in their elegant carriages through the parks and parkways enjoying the pleasant weather.  Of course, it was on view both for their own class and to the envy of those who weren't.    When one could afford a $6,000 motorcar then, one wanted others to recognize that.

Steve (58L8134), thanks. Always I enjoy the heart's blood, that you use instead of ink to comment.

Ok friends, take this high-resolution image to study the clash of two worlds: modern times meet vintage.

This was sent to me by a guy on a Jaguar forum I am part of.

This is his father's car which was bought in 1945/46 when his father left the Navy. Lousiville, KY. It ended up in a junkyard about ten years later due to misadventure.

As pointed out by Flackmaster, something to note is the correct flap of material over the top of the windshield that all replacement tops are missing.
