Kip, Keystone Packards sells this tool, though I don't know how theirs is constructed. If you buy one I would appreciate if you post a picture as there is no info on their website.

I don't know the dimensions of these offhand but I think I could probably 3D print a stainless steel driver bit for this purpose.

Edit: Just made a quick-disconnect bit in CAD as a rough prototype, not sure of the dimensions yet though. If anyone is interested in those I could get some made from stainless steel for roughly the same cost.

The Keystone tool is quite satisfactory but if you feel better making something with you own two hands, no need for 3D printing or other such solutions, proper size hexagonal stock is readily available in aluminum and brass. Just bore a clearance hole for the switch shaft and in less than 5 minutes you have a functional tool.

Good point, but 3D printing is nice for us that don't have a machine shop handy.
