I did manage to paint the inner fenders last night. I just need to rivet the rubber on now. But the high today is going to be a high of 8f, and a -15f windchill. Which means the garage will be < 50f. So, yeah, that may wait a few days.
Also, it's my 50th today, I am sure the wife has made plans for me. Waiting for my official old Packard guy membership card to arrive in the mail now.

A question about License plate fasteners.
Can someone take a picture of the style of hardware that is used to retain the top of the license plate to the bracket on the rear taillight? I want to see if I can find something local that is sympathetic to what was initially used. I'm currently just using a regular zinc-plated hex bolt and nut. But I imagine it was probably a slotted screw and a license plate nut that rode in the bracket channel? Trivial, I know, in the grand scheme of things, but these little details are pretty visible.

I can’t speak for 1937 but I seem to recall that all my 1940s and my 1941 had standard 1/4-20 license plate bolts with the square nuts.

Kev,
That looks like the hardware on my "crusty" original bracket.

Yes, those are the ones and most auto parts stores and even hardware stores should carry them.
