Well his look exactly like mine. So perhaps that is just what they look like. Thanks for the photos!

Interestingly, mine didn’t have cotter pins either (on either side). They are are in the photos, because I noticed that and added the cotter pins when I was doing the brakes.

There are a few service letter articles on the front shocks but one in particular mentions the offset pilots for camber adjustment and how they are reversible and need to be marked as to side and orientation if the front end and shocks are disassembled. Since it sounds as if the cars may have been apart, if they go in for alignment and seem way off those might be worth looking into.

I got the radiator back. It does indeed have a small crack at the top of the core near where it is soldered to the top tank. The shop's advice was to do nothing as attempting a repair may make it worse and then we are looking at a $1500 core. Since it is an unpressurized radiator and it is just a minor, non-dripping seep, I'm just going to leave it. He said if it starts to get worse, try 1/2 bottle of radiator stop leak.

Engine core plugs are out. These 1-3/4 dish style plugs were very hard to fine locally. Only one parts chain even had them in the local warehouse.

Core plugs replaced and I flushed a ton of muck and rust out of the block while I had them out. Also managed to most of the front frame decreased.
Still need to finish cleaning up the engine. So I can give it a coat of paint. But here is a view of the car flipped around in the garage.

Found some rot in the body where there use to be a captured nut for the front fender to bolt to.
I'll have to see if I can find a corner of a scrap body somewhere that can be used for a patch panel.
