This is the best footage of the liberation of Paris that I have encountered, plus a few moments of interest to Packard fans starting at 12:38

Thanks for posting this video. I will share it. There is another inspiring video out there showing the celebrations in Honolulu upon the surrender of the Japanese. It's true, World War II was fought in color.

I found this photo from 1955 in a Hungarian database. Regardless, I suspect it comes from the USA. Anyway, someone tried to somehow improve the looks of their convertible.

The rocks behind the car have a message painted on them in white in English. It may be: "KEEP OUT OF WATER"
Picture might be Great Salt Lake, Utah... or ??

I bought an old newsreel that, among other things, reported on the opening of a steelworks in the Eastern Bloc. I love these old state-supporting lies, teachings and ridiculous phrases. The red political celebrities put themselves in the spotlight and know the path to humanity's happiness, but one car doesn't really seem to fit into the picture.
Who can identify the capitalist enemy?
