Not a Clipper but is what is called by most a conventional body model such as a 110, 120, 160 or 180 depending on engine and trim level. A six would be the 110. If the engine is original to the car the motor number would at least give an indication of the basic model. The motor number should be stamped on the block just below the head parting line and somewhere around the distributor. It may be dirty and faintly stamped so hard to see.

The embossed numbers are what is called the body identification or more commonly called today, the theft proof number. Unfortunately while the only number that is not removable, it was only used in the factory and most of the records that would reference it to a particular car have been lost. Without the patent plate there is no way to tell what the official vehicle number was but if the small ID tag (D) installed by Briggs when the body was made is found that would possibly be the same or at least within a few digits of the official number.

It’s not that uncommon for the car (1941 110 model in this case) to be titled on the engine number.

The first cars with the Briggs body plate would be the 1941 Clippers. As Packard built the bodies for the 1941 110s, 120s, 160s, and 180s, they would not have a Briggs plate.
