This image shows the original B piller medallions and the pair I bought off eBay about 5 years ago.
The original pair are beyond repair that's why I bought this other pair. I cleaned them up and wet-sanded them with 1000 grit. Then I buffed them with my Dremel. I plan to use that gold touch-up pin and try to repaint the logo with model paint and then add some "Chrome Paint" to the backside. If anyone has a good image showing exactly what they are supposed to look like, can you post it, please? I have a good idea of what it should look like then I noticed a hint of gold in the largest diameter of the logo and I was not expecting that. Thanks

Found these while browsing Packard stuff on Facebook. Not sure what years the emblems are from.

I have been battling a coolant leak on the rear, right-hand side (near the heater core). I am having a problem finding the leak as it only leaks with the engine running. I have put a scope/camera on all the heater core hoses and fittings and have yet to find anything.
I can see it dripping off the exhaust manifold to the floor but, I don't know if that is the leak. I have ordered a radiator pressure testing kit. I hope I can build up a few pounds of pressure and it will help me locate the leak. Worst-case scenario, I may have to replace the head gasket on that side.

It is most likely the flat plate that bolts to the back of the head and has the heater nipple fitted to it. Probably a tad warped.

Yes, I have been eyeballing that plate at the rear for some time. I just could not see the leak. All I could see was where it was dripping from and I feared the worst.
I got this $40 kit from Amazon and gave it a go this week. I pumped it up to about 8lbs and could then see the coolant rippling down the back of the engine from the plate that Ross mentioned so, that was a relief. Getting it off and back on is going to suck but it is still a relief. I painted the B piller emblems this week also. The silver paint did not come out as I hoped. Looking at the back side it is more reflective but looking through the plastic (front) it appears dull. It will have to do.
