Do you have any photos of the X configuration 24 cylinder engine that was built for aircraft use but apparently never used? I understand that there were two made and much like two V12s on top of one another.

Thank you! That’s more than I had hoped for after having seen a photo pop up when I was traveling recently. Interesting that the crank has no main journals as such but rather uses the bore to do it.

The "X" engine, from this Packard publication, I'd be glad to post the pages on the other motors if there is interest.

The "X" motor is also given coverage in Bob Neal's books on Packard motors.
