Old '37 tank is still in the workshop, here's a few pic's. I also measured it, from the outside of the flange running around the middle of the tank, 38" x 22" and about 7.5" deep. The filler tube is set to the rear slightly being 9.5" from the outside of the rear flange to the middle of the tube. Might be able to compare it with your '41 tank, because mine's back in the car, it could broaden your search parameters?

OK, mine measures 30" (32" outside flange) x 18" (20" outside flange) x 9". So the '37 is 6" longer. But knowing this and with the photos will help me work this out and determine additional options.

In my 1940 120 there is a new tank made for a 1935-36 Ford. It's the perfect width for the frame, with simple strap mounts. It's made by 'Tanks', but others make replacement tanks too in plastic, steel, or stainless steel.
